The next generation of the iPhone is finally here. Apple has announced its new four iPhone 12 models, bringing the first major redesign of the smartphone since the iPhone X was launched in 2017. In addition to the new iPhone lineup, what else did Apple announced last night?
iPhone 12
The phone comes with a lighter, smaller, and thinner design, sporting the new OLED Super Retina XDR screen. The device features a pixel density of 460 ppi as well as support for Vision HDR. It’s powered by the A14 Bionic processor, which also powers the iPad Air, delivering improved AI processing power.
The iPhone 12 has a new camera module, including an ultrawide lens and a wide-angle lens with the Night Mode available supported by all the cameras along with night timelapse. Its pricing starts at $799 (Rs 58,662).
iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max
The display of the Pro measures 6.1 inches and that of the Pro Max measures 6.7 inches. These higher-end models feature premium materials with triple rear cameras, lidar, low-light autofocus, and AR.
The third telephoto lens on the iPhone 12 Pro Max packs a new sensor for shift image stabilization. Plus, it has Apple ProRaw, a new format that synthesizes computational photography as well as uses processing as parameters, meaning you can make adjustments such as sharpness. When it comes to video recording, the Pro Max allows for 10-bit Dolby Vision HDR.
The iPhone 12 Pro pricing starts at $999 (Rs 73,345) while the Pro Max starts at $1,099 (Rs 80,687).
iPhone 12 Mini
The iPhone 12 Mini has a small display of 5.4 inches, offering the same features as the standard version. Its price starts at $699 (Rs 51,320).
HomePod Mini
This smart speaker is as small as a table candle. Apple gives this device a redesigned audio architecture, including computational audio that adjusts sound characteristics automatically. The tiny smart speaker is priced at $99 (Rs 7,268).
