Recently, Huawei confirmed that it is going to release its next flagship series Huawei P40 on 26 March. However, instead of hosting an event in Paris like usual, the brand will only make an online press conference due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Now, only nearly two weeks until the launch event, a new teaser poster has surfaced online and reconfirmed the launch date as well as hinted an amazing feature of the phone with the hashtag #VisionaryPhotography. The poster shows an outline for the smartphone, revealing the ultra-thin bezel on all sides except for the bottom bezel. The right and left bezels seem to be nearly non-existent.
You might notice that there seem to be three dots at the upper left corner of the phone, hinting at triple selfie cameras housed on the front punch-hole. However, it is worth noting that all previous leaks suggested dual selfie cameras on the Huawei P40. Therefore, there is a chance that the P40 Pro or the P40 Pro PE is the one that sporting triple selfie cameras.
At the same time, a protective case of the upcoming Huawei P40 Pro has been shared on Weibo. It seems like the case belongs to the Porsche Edition since we can clearly see a Porsche logo on the case. It also suggests that the handset will have a massive camera module at the back, which was tipped to consist of five sensors. They could be a 40MP Sony IMX650 ultra-wide Cine RGGB lens, a 52MP Hexadeca Bayer RYYB lens, a dual prism periscope lens with 10x optical zoom, a ToF sensor, and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
The upcoming Huawei P40 series might include up to three models - P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro PE. The last one is tipped to feature a ceramic body, 10x optical zoom support while all three phones will likely be powered by Huawei’s Kirin 990 5G SoC and support 5G connectivity.
