Huawei has just confirmed that the launch event of its flagship smartphones P40 and P40 Pro will be held online on a global online press conference on March 26. Huawei's previous plan was to host the launch event in Paris, France. However, due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus in Europe, Huawei's event will be turned into an online press conference.

Not long ago, Xiaomi also had to hold the launch event of Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro online, instead of an offline event. That was also the case for the Huawei Mate Xs & Huawei Matebook.
Huawei's upcoming P40 and P40 Pro launch event will get a lot of attention. Because so far, there are not a lot of details about the two forthcoming smartphones. All we know is that the P40 and P40 Pro will have many improvements in the camera department.

A few leaked details recently revealed that P40 Pro will be equipped with a customized 52MP CMOS IMX700 sensor with the aim of 16 pixel combining for an equivalent 4.48µm pixel size. That means that you can produce super-sharp 3.25MP photos and impressive low-light shots. The P40 Pro will have a focal length of 18-240 mm, wider than the 24-125 mm of the P30 Pro. Powering the duo should be the Kirin 990 5G chipset as Huawei usually introduces a new chipset on its Mate series while the P series mostly comes with major upgrades in terms of camera.
It is around two weeks until the official launch event, so more details could be out in the next few days. We will keep you updated, so stay tuned.
