Meng Wanzhou, who is still under house arrest in Canada since the extradition proceedings to the United States is ongoing, has recently appeared to favor Apple products over her own company's offerings in the new court when she carried an iPhone 7 Plus an iPad Pro, and a MacBook.
As although it is a matter of record at present, it is slightly embarrassing since Meng is not only Huawei’s CFO but only the daughter of the Huawei founder…
Moreover, Huawei has relegated the employees publicly for affecting the image of the company when posting on Twitter through an iPhone…
It’s 2019, the year that most technology companies do not ask their staff to use company-launched devices for their personal use. Google and Microsoft staff sometimes use iPads, MacBooks, and iPhones when walking around. Not a big deal.
The issue is that although the Mattebook Pro X of Huawei is rated as the single best laptop worth buying at present, Meng does not use it. Perhaps, Meng doesn’t like using Windows, does she?
However, this CFO still has good taste in the company’s smartphone. She still had a Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Edition, which is the luxury smartphone known as “the best America can’t get.” And as for Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus, it is difficult to speculate. However, it is likely that Meng used this iPhone for her mobile hotspot purpose when she is living in North America.
For further information, Meng is fighting against an indictment of 13 counts including obstruction of justice, charges of espionage, conspiracy, and attempted theft of trade secrets. For her father’s part, Ren Zhengfei said that her daughter’s charges were trumped up and were “politically motivated.”
