Honor Play4 & Play4 Pro With High-End Specs Launched; Priced At R. 19,000

Honor Play4 & Play4 Pro are two new mid-range smartphones with high-end features, 5G connectivity, and quad rear cameras for an affordable price.

Honor has just launched two new smartphones in China, including Honor Play4 and Play4 Pro. Both of these phones support 5G connectivity, have beautiful designs, powerful hardware configurations, and come at extremely affordable prices. 

Honor Play4 & Play4 Pro are in the mid-range segment.

Honor Play4 & Honor Play4 Pro: Price & Availability

Honor Play4 is already up for pre-orders in China at a starting price of CNY 1,799 (about 19,000) for 6GB of RAM + 128GB storage model. Meanwhile, the version with 8GB RAM + 128GB of memory has a retail price of CNY 1,999 (about 21,200).

For the Play4 Pro, this phone is priced at CNY 2,899 (about Rs. 30,700). Special version with integrated infrared temperature sensor sold for CNY 2,999 (about Rs. 31,800). For now, the Huawei's sub-brand hasn't mentioned anything about launching the phone to other markets.

Honor Play4 & Honor Play4 Pro: Specifications & Features

The vanilla Play4 has a 6.81-inch LCD screen with Full HD resolution and it accounts for 90.33% of the front. The device uses a punch-hole design with a cut-out in the top left corner to accommodate the 16MP selfie camera.

The Honor Play4 gets quad cameras at the back, mid-range MediaTek chipset under the hood, and 12-layer liquid cooling system.

On the inside, the Play4 is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 800 processor, combined with Mali G57 GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD card.

Moving to the back, the phone is equipped with a system of four cameras arranged vertically and placed in a rectangular module. The rear camera cluster includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Honor Play4 comes with a 4,300mAh battery, supports fast wired charging up to 22.5W. Despite being in the mid-range segment, the machine is also integrated with liquid cooling technology and a 12-layer cooling structure. In addition, it also has a fingerprint sensor on the side to help users unlock more conveniently.

As for the Honor Play4 Pro, it has a smaller 6.57-inch screen with a dual 32MP + 8MP selfie camera on the front. Meanwhile, its back also has a dual camera, including a 40MP Sony IMX600 main sensor and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and 30x digital zoom.

On the inside, the Honor Play4 Pro is powered by the Kirin 990 5G processor, combined with Mali G76 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal memory. The battery comes with a capacity of 4,200mAh and supports 40W fast charging via USB Type-C port.

Honor Play4 Pro is a more premium model in the series. It only gets dual cameras at the back, smaller display. However, the phone has an infrared temperature sensor and a high-end telephoto sensor that allows 5x optical zoom.

Unlike the standard version, Play4 Pro is also equipped with an infrared temperature sensor. Thanks to this sensor, you can easily measure human body temperature without any other accessories, with measurement limits from -20 degrees C to 100 degrees C.
