Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei, has released the Honor Magic 2 3D in its homeland China. This new model is the enhanced version of the Honor Magic 2 debuting last year. The Magic 2 3D feature a 3D structure camera on the front, a higher capacity for storing, thus a more expensive price.

The Honor Magic 2 features a sliding mechanism, similar to what you see on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Both of them have triple camera arrangement on the rear (16MP, 16MP, and 24MP), and another set like that on the front (16MP, 2MP, and 2MP). On the Magic 2 3D, one of the 2MP front lenses is replaced by a 3D structure camera that is believed to track 10,000 points on the face for better face unlock and portrait pictures, and improve the security system’s ability to authenticate in low light.
The new phone has Kirin 980 chipset under the hood, plus an additional feature, which is the graphene heat pipe for better performance. On the storage front, the Magic 2 3D has RAM of 8GB and onboard storage of 512GB. Other specs include Magic UI, a 3,500mAh battery, and 1080p+ AMOLED display measuring 6.39 inches.
The new phone will set you back CNY 5,799 in China, which is the equivalent of Rs 60,495. The Magic 2 is not available in India, so we may have to wait to see if the Magic 2 3D makes it to the country. The worst case scenario is we may never have the chance to see Magic 2 3D released in the Indian market.
For the time being, Honor’s most high-end smartphone in India is the Honor View 20, which is believed to be the first ever phone with punch-hole design housing a 25MP plus a 48MP camera on the back. The starting price for the phone is Rs 37,999 for the standard variant of 6GB/128GB. The 8GB/256GB version comes at the cost of Rs 45,999.
