Honor 30 will be the latest flagship lineup by Huawei’s sub-brand Honor and it is tipped to launch by the end of this month in China. The series could include two models, Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro. Usually, the brand also releases another version of its flagship device in the mid-range segment, and this time it is the Honor 30S. Now, we have got new details on Honor 30S specifications, including processor, fast charging support, and cameras.
According to the report, the Honor 30S appears to be coming with a quad-camera setup at the back while a previous leak suggested a rear rectangular camera module, but it didn’t say how many sensors it would be accommodating. Now, we can see on the render that there will be four cameras on the rear setup. Three of them are stacked vertically while the other one is placed right below the LED flash. On the front, we have no idea which design Honor will go for on this phone, but it could be the popular punch-hole display, that many smartphone makers have been using recently.
The Honor 30S will reportedly support 5G connectivity thanks to Huawei’s new mid-range 5G chipset called Kirin 820, which could be fared against the Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G chipsets. The report also suggests that the device could support 40W fast charging technology. On the right side, we believe it should have a volume rocker and a power button, with the latter being mounted with a fingerprint reader just like the Honor 20S. As for the Honor 30S price, we don’t have any details on that, but it should be kept at the same level as the Honor 20S, which was priced at around Rs. 20,000.

Honor 30S: Specifications & Features
The handset rocks a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution and a small punch-hole at the upper left corner to house a 16MP selfie shooter. For security, it gets a fingerprint reader mounted on the power button on the right spine. To take care of the software side of things, it runs on Android 10-based Magic UI 3.1.1, and of course, Google Mobile Services is not available on this phone. Under the hood, there is a 4,000mAh battery that charges at 40W over a USB-C port.
Ticking at its core is Huawei’s new Kirin 820 5G SoC, which has four ARM-A76 cores and four 1.84GHz ARM-Cortex A55 cores. It is paired with a six-core Mali-G57 GPU and Kirin ISP 5.0 image signal processor that is said to offer advanced noise reduction and flagship-level performance. The device is available in two memory configurations, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
In terms of cameras, its square camera housing is where four camera lenses are placed. They are a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP portrait camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 20x hybrid zoom.
