The phone industry has been quite predictable in the last couple of years. That doesn’t mean that we haven’t got any surprise at all, but it is pretty easy to determine important devices to be released every year and their release dates as well. We even have a ton of leaks about those handsets ahead of their launches, giving us a good look of what will come. Based on all the leaks and reports, we have compiled a list of the top 10 smartphones that will most likely launch in this year.
Google Pixel 3 Lite

The Google Pixel 3 Lite might be one of the most anticipated smartphones now, especially previous leaks suggesting the phone to come with the same rear camera setup as on the premium Pixel 3. The phone also comes with a headphone jack unlike the Pixel 3. There have been several photos of the Pixel 3 Lite as well as its specs and camera samples, so we all have a good idea of what to expect from it. The handset is expected to release in the first half of this year and priced between $400 and $500.
Google Pixel 4
Google has been known for offering great camera quality on its phones
Google Pixel 3 has been getting quite a few praises for being an innovative phone, especially in the software department. Given Google’s track record of packing its phones with excellent camera setups, you can be sure that the Pixel 4 won’t disappoint you in that regard. The phone is speculated to release around October 2019.
2019 iPhones
iPhone devices introduced in 2018
Apple hasn’t revealed the official names of the upcoming iPhone lineup yet, but there should be three new iPhone devices to be released this year. Apple should use the same approach on the 2018’s iPhone series, and that is two premium handsets and a more affordable option. It is speculated that the upcoming iPhone models will feature a triple camera setup. They should also come packed with Apple’s A13 SoC as well. The tech giant Apple usually launches its new iPhone lineup around September every year so don’t expect anything too soon as there is still quite a while to September. We will update as soon as we know anything new.
Samsung’s foldable phone
Samsung has already revealed that it has been working on a foldable phone and has promised that it will be available in 2019 and rumors suggested that it would be around March 2019. The phone has the size of a regular tablet when it is fully opened up and can be folded in half.
OnePlus 7
the upcoming OnePlus 7 will most likely feature a Snapdragon 855 SoC
OnePlus announced at the Qualcomm event that they would be the first phone maker in 2019 to make a phone with the Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship, the Snapdragon 855, but then the OnePlus’ founder re-claimed that they will be ‘one of the first’ to adopt the Snapdragon 855 SoC. We haven’t got any other information about the new device from OnePlus will be. Let’s just wait for more information, and we will update as soon as they are available.
Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+
The Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones are expected to come with the Samsung's Infinity-O displays
Consumers will see a significant change in the design on the upcoming Galaxy S10/S10+. Just like other phone makers, Samsung has also been pursuing making a bezel-less display. And to do that, they come up with the hold-punch display which has a hole in the display to accommodate the front camera. The edge-to-edge displays with impressive screen-to-body ratios will give them exquisite looks, and along with the advanced and powerful hardware specs, the upcoming Galaxy S10 phones will be solid contenders in the flagship segment in 2019. These phones are expected to introduce in February.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10
Similar to the Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy 9's successor will also feature an Infinity-O display
In the first half of 2019, Samsung will most likely launch the upcoming Galaxy flagship series called Galaxy S10, and the other half will be the time Samsung introduces the other flagship smartphone, Galaxy Note 10.
The Galaxy Note 10 is expected to come with the new Infinity-O display which has been featured in the recently-released Galaxy A8s. The phone is also rumored to come packed with a massive 6.75-inch Super AMOLED panel and improved fast charging capability.
Nokia 9
The Nokia 9 is one of the most anticipated phones to launch this year, mostly due to its penta rear camera system. Nokia hasn’t talked much about why they use that many cameras on the phone, but it’s certainly something that many people are very excited to wait for. The phone is also expected to feature a tall display along with thin side bezels. The phone will most likely launch either in January or on the MWC 2019 in February.
Huawei P30 Pro
Huawei had had a great run in 2019 with the Huawei P20, and Huawei Mate 20 series and the Chinese company is looking for the same thing in 2019. Huawei is undoubtedly going to debut the next Huawei P30 Pro in this year, maybe in mid of 2019. The phone is speculated to feature a quad camera system and a water-drop notched display. And it will also come with many advanced and powerful specs just like other Huawei's flagships.
Xiaomi Mi 9
The upcoming Xiaomi flagship is expected to feature a small U-shaped notch on its display. The handset will also be likely to feature a triple camera setup, a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, wireless charging capability and a 3,700 mAh battery. The leaks further revealed that the rear camera setup would include a 48MP sensor.
Xiaomi is expected to debut the phone in the first half of this year.
It appears like this year will be just as exciting as last year or even more. While we have to wait quite a while for the iPhone series to launch, but there are still a ton of innovative and attractive Android devices waiting to be unveiled in the first half of 2019 for you to consider.
