In terms of camera, the phone still features a 48MP f/1.8 camera, but instead of the Samsung GM1 sensor as on the Redmi Note 7, it is equipped with a Sony IMX 586 one. The primary rear sensor is paired with a secondary 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Additionally, it also gets EIS, PDAF, HDR, 1080p video recording, AI scene detection, AI Portrait 2.0, and Super Night Scene mode. For security, there is s a fingerprint sensor mounted at the back.

Powering the phone is Huawei’s flagship chipset, the Kirin 970 SoC, which is the same processor as on the flagship-tier Huawei P20 Pro. Huawei also integrates its new GPU Turbo tech to improve the processing efficiency as well as lower the power consumption during gaming sessions. In addition, it comes with 4GB RAM/64GB storage which is expandable via a microSD slot (up to 256GB).

The variant with 4GB of RAM costs Rs. 19,999 while you may have to pay the Rs. 4,000 over the Rs. 20,000 budget to get the 6GB of RAM option.

Huawei P30 Lite

The Huawei P30 Lite is the latest offering from Huawei alongside the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30. It was already announced in the Indian market around a week ago but the company hasn’t revealed the sale date of the phone.

Moving to the specifications, the Huawei P30 Lite comes with a Huawei’s Kirin 710 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage which is expandable via a microSD slot. On the front, it sports a 6.15-inch Full-HD+ 2.5D curved LCD panel with a 1,080 x 2,312p resolution and a dewdrop notch on top.

In terms of camera, the device comes with a triple camera setup, comprising of a 24MP f/1.8 primary sensor, an 8MP secondary camera with a 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP third camera for depth sensing. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The cameras are supported by the company’s AI algorithm, a feature similar to the Google Lens that can also identify objects, and AR stickers as well.

Other highlighted features include image recording feature, GPU Turbo 2 for better gaming performance, and a fingerprint sensor mounted at the back. Powering the phone is a 3,340mAh cell with support for fast charging and a USB-C port.

Realme 3 Pro

While all of the above phones have already been launched in India, the Realme 3 Pro is set to come to India on 22 April. The phone is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC which is fully capable of running PUBG at a decent level. Additionally, it will come with a fingerprint reader, but it doesn’t specify that it is an optical or physical one. The revealed connectivity options include 5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.

Powering the phone will be a 3,960mAh cell, and it will run Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0, and that may indicate that the handset will ship with the latest Android 9.0 Pie at launch. As for the camera, rumors suggest that there will be a dual camera setup and a single selfie on the device. Its price remains unknown but Realme already teased that the Realme 3 Pro will go head to head against the Redmi Note 7 Pro so it should launch in the same segment with the Redmi offering.
