Google has recently announced the newly developed third generation of it's popular and well-loved lineup of the Pixel smartphones. These long-awaited devices of Google are called the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3XL. Google started their official launch for these uniquely crafted devices in an event that was hosted in the New York city of the United States.
However, Google does not forget about their clients in other countries across the world, as they also hosted this event in many other cities other than New York such as London, Paris, Singapore, and Tokyo. These two products that Google has just announced are the direct successors to their previous incredibly successful launches that are the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2XL from last year.
The American search engine giant has made a name for themselves thanks to their unique way of naming their products’ color variants. This time Google has decided to follow that famously well-loved tradition and offered for their two newest addition to the Google Pixel line of products three color variants that are Clearly White, Not Pink, and Just Black.
The availability and price of the Pixel 3 as well as the Pixel 3XL in India:
Google offers two variants for each of the new devices with varied prices when it comes to their storage capabilities. For the Google Pixel 3, it has 2 models that have the internal storage capacity of 64 GB and 128 GB, respectively. The 64 GB model will be priced at Rs 71,000 for one phone while the 128 GB version will be listed at Rs 80,000. It is also the same for the Google Pixel 3XL where Google has decided to also offer 2 variants with the price being Rs 83,000 for the 64 GB version and Rs 92,000 for the 128 GB version.
You can start pre-ordering these newly announced smartphones on the 11th of October. They will officially go on sale from the 1st of November onward.
The specifications of the Pixel 3:
The Pixel 3 model will run the most modern version of Android that has just been released recently, the 9.0 Pie version. This flagship smartphone from Google will rocks a 2160x1080 pixels FHD+ OLED screen that has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a size of 5.5 inches. It will be covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both its front and its back. Its pixel density is 443 PPI. In addition, it has features such as a display screen that is always on, HDR support, contrast ratio with a super high 100000:1 ratio.
The device will be protected by a frame that is made of aluminum and Hybrid coated soft touch glass at the back. It can resist water and dust quite well.
The Google Pixel 3 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon model 845 as its processor. It has 4 GB worth of RAM, the same amount its predecessor has. There is also the Visual Core for Pixel and Adreno 630. It is the first one out of all the Pixel smartphones to have the Security Module Titan M. When it comes to internal storage capabilities, the phone does not support microSD card but it comes with two options that have 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity, respectively.
Google is known for its incredible attention to the performance of the camera and the newest additions to the Pixel smartphones is not an exception. The Pixel 3 has a dual pixel single 12.2 MP camera in the rear with the size of the pixel being 1.4um and the aperture is f/1.8.It also offers autofocus that detects by dual pixel phase, electronic and optical image stabilization along with a view field that is 76 degrees.
These products are the first ever of the Pixel line of smartphones to have a dual camera in the front. There is a wide-angle 8MP sensor with a field of view that is 97 degrees and an aperture of f/2.2. The second one has a sensor that is 8MP along with 75-degrees view field, f/1.8 aperture, and autofocus that uses phase detection. It can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second.
Powered by a battery that has a 2915mAh capacity, Google Pixel 3 possesses USB port Type-C. It can be charged quickly at 18W and support wireless charging.
The specifications for the Pixel 3XL
There are not many differences between the two products. However, the Google Pixel 3XL does have much bigger battery capacity and display size. To be exact, the 3XL model has a 2960x1440 QHD+ flexible OLED that has an aspect ratio of 18.5/9. It is powered by a battery that is 3430mAh. It also has support for fast charging.
eSIM support
One of the most looked for changes in these products is the support capability for the eSIM. Google will follow Apple and start supporting eSIM for the two products in specific markets. With this feature, users can now use only one SIM card to change between the carriers.
