Google has partnered with Flipkart to launch a referral program for its Pixel 3 in the Indian market. This referral program will allow users of Pixel and Nexus devices to refer to Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL to other people and both the referee and the referrer will get incentives in return.
The program starts today so owners of the Pixel or Nexus handsets are now able to refer their family members or friends to the Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL. When users log in their Flipkart app using their Pixel or Nexus handsets, the app then shows them a banner with the referral program. You have to click on the banner, which will redirect to a page listing the possible benefits that the referrer and the referee can get.
Sadly, Google only allows existing owners of Pixel and Nexus handsets to general the referral links
On the page, current Nexus or Pixel owners can participate in this program by entering their emails. Within the next 48 hours, Flipkart will send an email to the email ID they entered before with a link which they can use or share. Furthermore, Google notes that users can only activate the referral link from the program starting date and redeem until the end of the redemption date.
Every user who is referred by the referral link will be redirected to Flipkart website where they will need to validate the code. And once it’s validated, the code will be tagged to the referee’s Flipkart account until the offer is expired. The codes can only be generated until 20 December and the program is available until 24 December.
Google states that each of the referrers will eligible to claim an Rs. 2,000 Flipkart gift voucher. This gift voucher can be used on all running offers, which means that people can buy the Google Pixel 3 at its cheapest price with this program.
