The Galaxy S11 series will likely launch in February next year ahead of the MWC 2020 event. We have heard quite a lot of information about the Galaxy S11, including a 108MP sensor on a penta-camera lens cluster, 25W quick charging solution, 120Hz screen, an Exynos 9830 SoC, and more. Recent renders of the S11 also reveal the design of the phone in full glory. Now, an alleged screen protector of the handset reaffirms the design, in which it has a thin chin at the bottom and a center-aligned punch-hole at the top of the screen, similar to the Note 10.
Galaxy S11: Expected specifications
The listing of the Galaxy S11 on Geekbench suggests that it will have the hardware power from an Exynos 9830 SoC with a 5G modem integrated. Packed with the chipset is up to 12GB RAM. On the software side of things, it is likely to come preloaded with Android 10 and Samsung’s OneUI 2.0 on top. On the front, both the Galaxy S11 & S11+ are tipped to sport a 120Hz display with Quad-HD+ resolution and an ultrasonic on-screen fingerprint reader. As for the Galaxy S11e, it will get a curved screen instead of a flat display like the Galaxy S10e. The display size of the phone is said to be around 6.3 or 6.4 inches, while the Galaxy S11 & S11+ might boast a 6.7 & 6.9-inch displays, respectively.
In the camera department, it is expected to rock a whole new 108MP sensor on a penta-camera lens cluster on the Galaxy S11+. The cameras will reportedly support Deep Fusion-like tech, 5x optical zoom, and multiple camera features like Single Take Photo, Space Zoom, Director’s View, Vertical Panoramas, Night Hyperlapse, 8K video recording, and more.
The Galaxy S11 series will reportedly arrive on 18 February next year. As its launch is still quite far away, there should be more details on the way. You should still take the news with a pinch of salt.
