Galaxy A70 Goes Live On Samsung India, Should Launch Soon

The new addition to the Galaxy A series, Galaxy A70, has now listed on Samsung India's website, hinting at an imminent launch.

Just a few days ago, the South Korean phone market Samsung launched three new additions to the Galaxy A series and they are Galaxy A20e, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A80 with a rotating camera. While it is unknown when the Galaxy A80, which is the top-end model in the series, comes to India, the Galaxy A70 has already been listed on the company website in India. That may mean that the phone will launch in the country very soon.

At its “A Galaxy” event held a few days back, Samsung announced the impressive Galaxy A80 with a ‘New Infinity’ display. As evident by its name, the Galaxy A80 sits at the top of the 2019 Galaxy A-series lineup. While there is no word yet on when the Galaxy A80 will arrive in India, the Galaxy A70 been listed on the Samsung India website, hinting at an imminent launch in the country.
Galaxy A70: Expected Launch Date
The microsite of the Galaxy A70 has been spotted on the website of Samsung India showing all major features of this mid-range handset. However, its price hasn’t been revealed on the listing yet. Since the page is now up, the launch date of this phone should be imminent and might be just a couple days away.
As for the price, it could be priced around Rs. 25,000 in the country and compete against the likes of Oppo F11 Pro, Vivo V15, and Poco F1. It will come in a total of four color variants, including Blue, Coral, White, and Black.
Galaxy A70: Specifications & Features
The phone packs a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with an FHD+ (2,400 x 1,080p) resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 675 SoC with six efficiency cores clocked at 1.7GHz and two performance cores clocked at 2GHz. As for memory configuration, it will come in two options, 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage model and 8GB of RAM/128GB of storage variant.

On the imaging front, it sports a triple camera setup, including a 32MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide lens with an aperture of f/2.2, and a 5MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. Up front, it comes with a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.

Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE VoLTE, and Bluetooth. As for security, it comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor as well as Facial Recognition feature for extra security measure. In terms of software, it runs Samsung’s OneUI which is based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. Powering the phone is a large 4,500mAh cell with support for 25W fast charging.
