The Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s are the two latest additions to the Galaxy A series in India. Samsung has launched the two in the country at a launch event today. The Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50s are announced as the successors to the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50, respectively. Both of them come with a few similarities such as Super AMOLED display, large battery, and an in-display fingerprint reader. However, the Galaxy A50s will be positioned in a slightly higher tier compared to the Galaxy A30s. It comes with a higher RAM and storage configurations, a 48MP main sensor, and a more powerful processor.
Galaxy A30s & Galaxy A50s: Price
The Galaxy A30s is priced at Rs. 16,999 in India for the single variant with 4GB RAM / 64GB of storage. Meanwhile, the more premium Galaxy A50s is retailed at Rs. 22,999 and Rs. 24,999 for the two variants with 4GB of RAM / 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM / 128GB of storage, respectively.
Both phones are available in Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Green, Prism Crush Black, and Prism Crush Violet. They will be up for grabs in the country today and you can get one via Paytm Mall, the brand’s online store, Amazon, and Samsung’s Opera House.
Galaxy A30s: Specifications
The Galaxy A30s features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-V display with HD+ resolution. For security, Samsung equips it with an in-display fingerprint reader. Powering the handset is an Exynos 7904 SoC, paired with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of storage, which is expandable via a microSD card slot (up to 512GB). Software-wise, it will ship with Android 9.0 Pie at launch with Samsung’s OneUI on top.
In terms of camera, it features a 25MP main sensor with an f/1.7 lens, aided by a 5MP depth-sensing camera with an f/2.2 lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter with an f/2.2 lens on the rear. For selfies and video chats, it has a 16 MP snapper on the front. Fueling the whole setup is a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging solution support.
Galaxy A50s: Specifications
The Galaxy A50s is positioned in the mid-range segment. It comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with FHD+ resolution. There is an Exynos 9611 SoC ticking at its core alongside up to 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage (expandable up to 512GB).
On the imaging department, it also comes with a triple rear camera setup like the Galaxy A30s. However, the setup includes a 48MP main sensor with an f/2.0 lens, a 5MP depth-sensing camera with an f/2.0 lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 lens. On the front, there is a 32MP camera with an f/2.0 lens for taking selfies and video chats.
Aside from that, the Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50s have quite a few things in common, such as the same operating software, battery, and connectivity options.
