Samsung has been very active in the mid-range and budget segment with its Galaxy A and Galaxy M series. Today, along with the Galaxy A80 and A70, the South Korean phone maker also introduces another addition to its revamped Galaxy A series, dubbed Galaxy A20e. You can tell from the name that this phone is a toned-down model of the Galaxy A20, that was introduced on March 2019. This new handset still features the same build and design as on the Galaxy A20. The major difference between the two is the smaller size of the Galaxy A20e.
The Galaxy A20e will come in White and Black color variants, but Samsung hasn’t revealed its pricing and exact launched dates.
Galaxy A20e: Specs & Features
As mentioned, the Galaxy A20e has a smaller size compared to the Galaxy A20. It sports a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-V panel with a HD+ (1,560 x 720p) resolution, which is smaller in comparison with the 6.4-inch screen on the Samsung Galaxy A20. Powering the phone is the same Samsung-made Exynos 7884 SoC, paired with 3GB RAM/32GB storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot up to 512GB. As for software, it runs the latest Android 9.0 at launch with OneUI on top.
On the imaging department, it comes with the same camera setup as on the Galaxy A20. Its dual camera setup includes a 13MP primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture and a secondary 5MP camera with an ultra-wide camera and an f/2.2 aperture. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. For security, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking the phone.
As the Galaxy A20e has a smaller size, it also comes with a smaller battery with 3,000mAh compared to 4,000mAh on the Galaxy A20 along with support for 15W fast charging standard as well.
