ASUS ROG Phone 3 Launch Date Revealed: SND 865 Plus, 16GB RAM, 144Hz Display

ASUS ROG Phone 3 will likely be a very powerful and advanced gaming smartphone thanks to the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC, 16GB RAM, and 144Hz display.

ASUS has confirmed the official launch date of its gaming-centric ROG Phone 3. The handset will make its debut in Taiwan on 22nd July at 11 p.m at the ‘Game Changer’ event. As you may know, ASUS has partnered with Chinese giant Tencent for its future smartphones, including the upcoming ROG Phone 3, which will have optimization from the Chinese company. It is also speculated to be the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset.

The upcoming gaming-centric smartphone is said to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ (1,080 x 2,340p) resolution and a whopping 144Hz refresh rate. It will likely get up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The handset could still have thick bezels on the front, which might be a bit outdated, but seems reasonable for a gaming smartphone. For security, it should be equipped with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the phone could pack a whopping 6,000 mAh battery that will reportedly support 30W HyperCharger technology.
