POCO M2 Pro India Launch Confirmed, Key Specs Leaked On Geekbench

POCO M2 Pro has just been confirmed to launch in India on 7th July via Flipkart. Its specs reportedly include Snapdragon 720G, 6GB RAM, quad cameras, and more.

POCO M2 Pro is officially confirmed to make its debut in India on 7th July at 12 p.m via a tweet by the brand. The much-anticipated smartphone was expected to be revealed in India after the Chinese brand confirmed that the POCO F2 Pro would not come to India. In the tweet, the brand also reveals that it will release the POCO M2 Pro in the country via Flipkart and the phone has also got a dedicated microsite on the platform to tease its arrival. According to the teaser photo by POCO India, the upcoming POCO M2 Pro will feature a quad-camera cluster housed inside a square camera module, similar to that of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It is also teased to support 33W fast charging technology.

So far, there are not many details on the POCO M2 Pro, but we expect POCO India to tease some more features soon since the official launch event is just around the corner. Recently, the handset was spotted on the benchmarking platform Geekbench with some key information. It will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 720G, which is the same chipset used on the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. It will come in at least one 6GB RAM model. With these specs, we expect to see the POCO M2 Pro be positioned in the mid-range segment, unlike the POCO F2 Pro. With the current POCO X2 staying in the sub-Rs. 20,000 segment, the M2 Pro has to be in either the sub-Rs. 15,000 or sub-Rs. 30,000 segment.
