Sharp has just announced its latest additions to its AQUOS smartphone lineup with the Zero2, Sense3, and Sens3 Plus.
AQUOS Zero2: Specifications
The AQUOS Zero2 comes with a 6.4-inch curved OLED panel with a refresh rate 240Hz, which is twice as high as the ones on the best smartphones like the gaming-centric ASUS ROG Phone 2. It would be quite interesting to see how it performs in real life. The brand also announce that the Zero2 is the lightest 6-inch smartphone, with a weight of just 143g.
Its display has an Full-HD+ resolution and a dewdrop notch on top for an 8MP selfie camera. For security, it supports both on-screen fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock system. At the back, it has a dual camera system with a 12MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.4 aperture. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 855 that is aided by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It is fueled by a 3,130mAh battery, which is quite low given the fact that its display has a very high refresh rate. Thanks to the IPX5/IPX8/IP6X ratings, the handset is water and dust resistant. Software-wise, it ships with Android 10 at launch to take care of the software side of things.
The phone will come in Misty White and Astro Black color variants, but the brand hasn’t revealed its price yet. It is slated to go on sale from December.
AQUOS sense3: Specifications
The AQUOS sense3 sports a 5.5-inch IGZO display with Full-HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio 18:9. It seems that Sharp goes for a rather old design on the sense3. It doesn’t have a notch like the Zero2, but it features a thick bezel at the top instead. Moreover, there is a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button at the bottom of the phone. At the rear panel, it is still equipped with a dual camera system, including 12MP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter with f/2.4 aperture. In terms of software, it boots Android 9.0 Pie instead of the Android 10 like the Zero2.
AQUOS sense3 plus: Specifications
The AQUOS Sense 3 Plus features a 6.0-inch IGZO Full-HD+ screen and two stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. On the front, it has an 8MP sensor for selfies and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.
It draws power from a Snapdragon 636 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. Finally, the phone ships with Android 9.0 Pie to take care of the software side of things and a 4,000 mAh battery.
