The Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphones had been launched by Xiaomi in August 2018. Also, it was the second time that Xiaomi Incorporation had their product to run under Android One Programme. Therefore, Xiaomi Mi A2 will have at least 2 updates on operating systems (OS) and Pie update will be its first to come.
As stated by the XDA Developers, since the beta version of Pie for Xiaomi was spotted online, its official update is approaching release. The beta version has Pie’s features such as fresh navigation gestures and filled-in navigation buttons as well as Adaptive Battery.

After Mi A1 – Xiaomi Inc’s first phone that runs Android One’s OS – was spotted running Android 9.0 on Geekbench. According to the reports and leaked information one week after the event, the Mi A2 could be the third phone of Xiaomi Inc (after the Mi A1 and the Mi Mix 2S) running the latest update of Android OS. The Read Only Memory (ROM) is official base on a statement of the developers, however, it could still contain multiple bugs since it is only a beta release.
They recommended waiting for the official release of the rollout version. Moreover, if you are Xiaomi’s enthusiasts, we recommend viewing the following list to check whether your device will get Pie or not, or else just skip this.
There are four color variations of Xiaomi Mi A2 available in India which is Lake Blue, Black, Gold and Rose Gold. With an 18:9 of aspect ratio and a Full HD screen size of 5.99-inch, which is preserved by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Mi A2 possesses an Octa-core Snapdragon 660 chip, which is clocked at 2.2GHz. Like the aforementioned, because the phone has run under Android One programme, users will obtain the good quality of storage space on Google Cloud, and monthly updates on security and two considerable OS updates for the least.
On the back of the phones, there are a dual camera vertically stacked and a fingerprint sensor. The dual-camera system of Mi A2 features one primary 12 Megapixel Sony IMX486 having 1.25-micron pixels and the other secondary 20 Megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor for portrait pictures taking, both of which have f/1.75 aperture lens.
