WhatsApp Is Launching Its App To iPad Users, Claimed Report

It was reported that for the last few weeks, messaging platform WhatsApp has been developing support for iPad users.

Recently, messaging platform WhatsApp released a new update to its iOS users, numbered 2.19.40. This update comes with regular bug fixes as well as general improvements. Most importantly, however, according to a new report, WhatsApp may soon come to iPads. It was reported by WaBetaInfo that for the last few weeks, the messaging platform has been developing support for iPad users.

Plus, it is likely that users will not find WhatsApp app in Apple’s App Store because the company is still working on it. There hasn’t been any information on when the company will roll out the final version either. However, as revealed by the source, the app will shortly come to initial testers before the official launch. According to the source, the support may come in TestFlight with the next beta update. Currently, there have been several screenshots illustrating how the app my work and its appearance.

The app on iPads will have features similar to the main app, but its user interface will be compatible with iPad devices. As can be seen from the screenshots, WhatsApp users on iPads will experience a split-screen UI that you can see in the following photo as well as other screenshots. The report also says that WhatsApp new version for iPad users will provide support for video and audio calls, Status and Groups. Users can also use the app in the landscape mode and they can leverage WhatsApp stickers.

In February, the company introduced the authentication feature update to iPhone users, this feature may also appear in the iPad version of the app. Right now, WhatsApp users with an iPhone can already enjoy the Touch ID and Face ID biometric authentication option that they can turn on by going to Settings then select Account, then Privacy.

In separate news, WhatsApp has lately released its Business app to global iOS users after coming to Android users. The company will also introduce Dark mode to its Android app soon.
