In its latest stable Android update for the WhatsApp app on Google Play, the company has added a feature called ‘Consecutive Voice Messages’. The feature first came to the app this March under the Beta version 2.19.86, and after two months, it has eventually come to a stable release.

According to the changelog of WhatsApp Beta version 2.19.50, which is listed in Google Play, you no longer have to press on each consecutive voice message to get them played as they will play automatically in sequence. Meanwhile, the feature has already come to iOS users for a while now. It enables automatic playback of consecutive voice messages, which means users don’t have to play them manually. Plus, the company has fixe the CVE-2019-3568 vulnerability in its new update.

Lately, the messaging platform suffered from a spyware attack that let an attacker insert and execute code on the phone of a user via WhatsApp voice call, regardless of it being answered or not. Dubbed Pegasus, the spyware could probably pull all WhatsApp data stored on users’ smartphones including text messages, emails, GPS locations, images, browser history, and so on. The spyware was obviously developed by the NSO Group, an Israeli cyber intelligence firm.

Reacting to the matter, the company urged all users to update their app, but it did not reveal how many people the vulnerability affected. The attack came to light last month and the Facebook-owned firm has fixed it in the last update.

We have seen a lot of updates from the company with the aim of enhancing user experience while chatting on the app. Recently, the Anroid 2.19.151 beta update came out, adding two new features namely QR code and Share to Facebook. WhatsApp included these features to help popularize its Stories, something all the other social platforms have done already.

Furthermore, as suggested by a report from WABetaInfo, there will soon be an “Add to Facebook Story” button. However, this button will only work if your phone has both the WhatsApp and Facebook app.
