As from now, you can share amazing stuff that you’ve found on Reddit toward Snapchat. Amongst a load of other options, the messaging app now allows users to directly do that by clicking on the share button placed in Reddit discussions. Keep in mind that you have to install both the apps onto your device, and the feature is only limited to iOS.
In particular, that will put a post from Reddit to the Snapchat camera, so you can start sharing it as a story with anyone or just with a few close friends as well. In addition, the messaging platform will boast a Reddit-logo sticker along with detailed information regarding the post.
Once users already have two apps on their devices and see a post, they can access it by swiping up then start taking part in talking about various things, sending GIFs and so on. If they haven’t yet got the Reddit app, the action will automatically guide them to the official page of the Reddit app inside the App Store.
According to Reddit’s spokesperson Vaibhav Sahgal, this is the first time they test such a feature with another partner like Snapchat. From that, the company is looking forward to boosting user experience. In a recent statement, Sahgal reiterated that the cooperation marked the first time his company teams up with other platforms like Snapchat in order to test how content sharing integration will work. From that, they hope to see how users' sharing habits, as well as their experiences, will be shaped in the coming time.
Of course, there’ll be no sharing option for not-safe-for-work content and subreddits. As part of the plan, Reddit will make the feature available for Android in the coming weeks.
