Uber Released New Safety Features To Protect Riders And Drivers

On Wednesday, Uber has announced the new features to be released in Europe, improving safety for their users by three brand new safety features.

On Wednesday, the famous ride-hailing company Uber has announced the new features for their app. These additions will be release in regions of Europe, Africa, and also the Middle East. With the update path, Uber has focused on improving safety for their users by three new safety features.
With the new release, drivers and riders using the Uber app can now share details of their trip easier than ever before. On the other hand, the app will be friendlier and simpler for the app users as they will be able to contact the emergency services of Uber whenever they need. In addition, people using service of this ride-hailing company from this moment are able to access emergency services.
Moreover, the Uber app was added a brand new extra security layer. It is a two-factor authentication which provides riders as well as drivers with more assurances for their trips and journeys. On the other hand, the famous company also added a new de-identification system in their app recently update. With the anonymization technique, drivers can no longer be informed the drop-off and pickup locations.
The app also added a new Safety Toolkit for more efficient usage of the Uber's product. Users can reach to it by finding the shield icon located in the app’s bottom right corner.
On the other hand, Uber Eats couriers and Uber’s drivers can also get a speed warning to ensure their safety.
Talking about new features update and the ride-hailing company's vision, Uber’s global head of safety products Sachin Kansal stated that:
