Huawei Said That It Could Deliver 250 Million HongMengOS Devices By The End Of This Year

Huawei is expected to ship over 225 million budget devices with HongMeng OS by the end of this year

After the Backlisting of the US on Huawei, many US-based companies have cut ties with this Chinese hardware giant - including Google. So without Google means that Hornor and Huawei will no longer have access to Android and all the new updates on the platform after this August.

The Backup Plan

But Huawei already has a plan for that situation; they have been working on their own smartphone OS with the name of HongMengOS. Some recent reports indicate that the company will be able to ship new devices with this OS in October.

According to the news.mydrivers, they expect to see the proprietary HongMengOS of Huawei to arrive with about 225 million devices by the end of 2019.

At the first stage, it said that Huawei would mainly focus on its budget segment with its HongMengOS. A big reason for that is because initially, HongMeng won't have a big enough app ecosystem for the needs of more high-end users.

HongMengOS Is Ready?

There is also a recent report of Rosenblatt Securities saying that Huawei has already shipped around 1 million devices with its HongMengOS. In the report, it seems that this OS of Huawei will be compatible with all apps of Android, and it also comes with extra security functions for personal data protection.

Richard Yu stated that their HongMengOS is ready to go on smartphones, TVs, tablets, computers, wearables, and cars... plus everything you could install an operating system on.

China said a vague and ominous warning that it is observing the "unreliable” foreign organizations, companies, and individuals. That might be a signal of Chinese retaliation for the sanction of the US on its companies.
