Tim Danks - Huawei VP of risk management and partner relations said to Reuters that his company acknowledges the current situation, adding that it'll wait for guidance from the U.S authorities.

Last month, the Chinese giant was barred from picking up American-made electronics components and software without a license. The US Commerce Department has released the ban after the US government considered it as a security threat over the country. As a result, Huawei's upcoming phones will not legally accessible to Google's Android. If there's no confirmation from the US authorities, Huawei is still unaware of whether its products can come with Android or not.

An interview between Ren and the Financial Times revealed that Ren welcomed President Trump's decision to ease the ban on Huawei, however, he also downplayed its significance.
