Google had to face up to an outage problem in the computing network – Cloud. This problem affected a host of services such as Discord, Shopify, Snap, and so on. It took Google 5 hours to resolve this issue.

The outage’s influence was quite serious. It affected Google’s Nest – the app controlling homes and apartments’ temperature, Shopify – shopping service, Snapchat, and the social networks of Discord.
The company publically claimed that Google had resolved the congestion of network happening in eastern USA, which influences YouTube, G Suite, and Google Cloud by 4:00 pm US/Pacific.
Google also commits to investigate the problem internally and improve the systems to avoid future recurrence. A report with information relating to SLA credits is expected to show when the investigation is completed.
Google has solved the problem; however, no one can deny that cloud services issues lead to many global common applications’ outages. This shows the thinness of cloud coverage for modern computing architectures.

Many companies have trusted and put their whole backend to one organization. Therefore, as the risks can happen anytime, it is important that they should set a plan for emergencies.
Thanks to modern cloud architectures, it cost less to create new tech businesses. Nonetheless, it brings not only the cost advantage but also disadvantages. The companies have to depend on that service to operate their businesses.
The more modern technology is, the more networked the world is. In the context that devices with internet connection are available in almost any home, it is more and more vital that the companies set a spare plan to deal with any situation like the services going down.
In conclusion, it is likely to depend on the service such as storage or computing in the cloud in case the companies have a plan to adapt regardless of any issues.
