Google has just released an open platform named “Anthos” that helps its users to run and control all apps from any position. This shows Google’s effort to keep up with the two other big companies including Amazon and Microsoft. Accordingly, the tech giant has planned to transform its key strategies into the development of cloud computing technology.

The development orientation of cloud computing technology has taken an important role in Google’s new development strategy. However, the company has just focused much on this technology in recent times. Up to now, its market share occupies only 3%, that means much lower than the percentage of Amazon’s one (52%).

According to what the company announced last year, “Anthos” was developed based on its Cloud Services Platform. With it, users can run apps in the Public Cloud as well as hardware investments on the premises.

The Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said,

In addition, the open platform will be expectedly an effective tool for users to manage their workloads on some renowned clouds from third parties such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS.

On the event called “Google Cloud Next” on April 09, Kurian stated, “We are excited that partners including Cisco, Dell, HP, Intel, Lenovo and VMware are offering joint solutions with us.”

Also in the event, the company introduced the Anthos’s beta version named “Anthos Migrate.” This version will automatically move virtual machines (also known as VMs) from clouds or on-premises into the Google Kubernetes Engine’s containers.
