A famed figure from Google, Eric Schmidt, reportedly has decided to quit Google for a few months without any public information. According to CNET, the former CEO of Google did work as a technical advisor for both Google and Alphabet until February 2020 before bidding a farewell to the company.

The reason behind why Schmidt gave up his last official role at the tech giant stays uncertain. Google was contacted for further information, but no comment has been made yet.
Some sources claimed that Schmidt has apparently has started to take control of many advisory groups for military technology before his departure.
Frankly speaking, Schmidt hasn’t undertaken any leading position since he stepped down as Google CEO in 2011. He later exited the company’s board of directors and just taking the role of an advisor and received a base salary of $1 per year.

This departure officially marked the end of an era. Schmidt took the helm at the time Google was just a search startup, and this man successfully turned it into a tech colossus alongside the company’s founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
In other words, it now branches into various business fields, including Android OS, smartphone production, artificial intelligence, robot, and more.
But Google and Eric Schmidt himself also came under tons of criticism over privacy concerns. “If you've got nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear,” Schmidt was quoted as saying.
