Apple has sent a care package for each of its employees that got stuck in Hubei and Wenzhou due to the spread of the Coronavirus. This piece of information was shared on Weibo, a large Chinese social media network and according to the shared picture, the package includes an iPad, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, face masks, and more.
While Apple has reopened half of its Apple Stores in China for limited hours a day, a large number of its employees are still forced to stay home. Many families that have received the care package from the company said that they were moved by the kind gesture and comfort effort of Apple.
Each of the packages is accompanied by a letter which said that the iPad is to help the families’ children learn at home after a long stay due to the Coronavirus.
At the company’s annual meeting that took place on the 26th of February, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook warned shareholders that the company might miss the first quarter revenue target as the result of the pandemic. However, he also emphasizes the safety and health of their employees amidst the outbreak.
In February, Cook came up with plans to fund Coronavirus relief efforts in China and at the annual meeting, he said the company would at least double the donation even if it might miss the revenue goal.
In the last few days, Apple’s stock price fluctuated wildly as a result of fear over the Coronavirus and the uncertainty of the world’s markets.
