According to a study by International Data Corporation (IDC) and Cisco, from now until 2027, India tends to need another 1.4 million IT employees. As technology advances and innovations such as the Internet of Things (IoT), network security, Big Data, etc., it requires a high level of human resources in the field of information technology. Because of the technology shift, demand for this work has grown by 46%.
In "The 20 Most Significant IT Roles Your Should Consider in India", IDC states that jobs like designers for machine learning products, social media management, Internet of Things design will become the most demanding jobs in the coming years.
In 2017, there were 9.1 million recruiting posts for IT positions, in which 5.9 million aimed at new-age roles. By 2027, the world will have 5 million more new-age jobs.
There are new skills that are required during this digital transition in many different industries. This also changes the way people work and the place they work. Technology companies will find it more difficult to find the right candidate for a vacancy.
Research shows that this helps to motivate companies to improve their employees' skills through courses. In these courses, employees can enhance their professional knowledge and skills. This is an organizational development from within the company.
The survey also found that nearly 20 percent of employees paid for independent courses on their own and 50 percent attended training sessions in 2017.
As many as 89 percent of employers have found that candidates with certificates of specialization have a much better credibility and ability to work. And 88 percent of customers feel the change and improvement of service and product quality.
These new skills are also be taught in the most prestigious certification course of Cisco such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE), CCNP Security, and CCNP Collaboration.
