ZTE earlier revealed that it is working on a 5G smartphone with the newly-announced Snapdragon 865 SoC called Axon 10s Pro. Ahead of its official launch, the Chinese phone maker decided to showcase the phone to the fans. The Axon 10s Pro 5G will feature better AI features, a revamped UI, among other things.

The smartphone was showcased in the hands of Feng Xu, who is CEO of ZTE’s Mobile Devices business. Live photos and renders reveal that the Axon 10s Pro 5G will have a nearly identical design to its predecessor Axon 10 Pro 5G. As for the price, it is expected to fall in the sub-CNY 3,000 price segment (which is around Rs. 30,000).

The company already announced that the phone will carry the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC. It now reveals that the device will carry USF 3.0 storage and LPDDR5 RAM for higher performance. To offer optimized usage of its resources, the company also announced the Z-Booster 2.0 feature, which is said to encompass System-Booster and App-Booster to allocate resources better.

Software-wise, the ZTE Axon 10s Pro 5G will be the company’s first smartphone to ship with the new MiFavor 10 OS, new icons, network control, gestures, Dark Mode, and many other features that can attract Chinese users. As you may know, the MiFavor 10 OS is a highly-modified UI, which is based on the latest Android 10.

Since the upcoming Axon 10s Pro 5G will support 5G connectivity, users will have the option to primarily connect to 5G network or ignore them. The brand also boasts the handset to be just 175 grams in weights and 7.9mm thin, which will make it among the thinnest 5G smartphones available in the market.
