Last night, Huawei held an event to launch the Huawei P30 flagship series in Paris, France. At the event, Huawei launched three new smartphones including P30 Lite, P30, and P30 Pro. The unique feature of the P30 and P30 Pro duo is their powerful rear camera cluster. While the P30 has three rear cameras and 3x zoom capability, 5x hybrid zoom and 30x digital zoom, the P30 Pro with a quad camera setup is capable of 5x optical zoom, 10x zoom and digital zoom up to 50x.

Ever since Huawei organized the event, Xiaomi has carried out "disruptive" activities. First, Xiaomi's employees were present at the P30 launch location. Xiaomi caught the attention by changing the name of Wi-Fi networks to something like ‘P30 Pro too expensive’, ‘with 2 Mi 9s combined’ or ‘Xiaomi is better’ or ‘Mi 9 is the rule’, etc...
Xiaomi didn't stop there as the company's social network accounts simultaneously attacked Huawei's newly-launched smartphones. On the Facebook page, Xiaomi posted a photo of the price of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro with a line: "Is this really necessary?"

Next, this fanpage posted a picture with a clearer comparison between its Mi 9 and the new Huawei P30. According to Xiaomi, Xiaomi Mi 9 is much better than the P30 for a significantly cheaper price. As per Xiaomi comparison, its Mi 9 outperforms P30 on the screen size, better DxOMark scores, wireless charging 20W, similar rear camera setup, in-display fingerprint sensor, and the same RAM + storage option. However, Mi 9's price is 499 EUR, much cheaper than the P30 with 799 EUR.

"At Xiaomi, we really believe in bringing you great products at #HonestPrices. Do you think flagship smartphones should cost a fortune?", Xiaomi wrote on its Facebook page.
On Twitter, Xiaomi UK is mocking the processor of the Huawei P30 with a quite popular meme. Accordingly, instead of going straight, which in this case, is choosing the latest processor, the Huawei P30 turns to choose Swarovski crystal phone case instead.

It is impossible to say which Xiaomi Mi 9 or Huawei P30 is better at the moment. Moreover, this depends on different users. The fact that Huawei and Xiaomi mocking each other is not something new. Huawei and its sub-brand Honor has been fighting with Xiaomi in the media in recent times. Whoever wins is unknown, but it is clear that the battles between these company bring a lot of joy to consumers.
