Chinese phone maker, Xiaomi has introduced its Xiaomi Mi 9T phone for the international market last week. Although it’s just a rebranded version of the Redmi K20, it is still an interesting upper-midrange phone with a truly bezel-less screen and a pop-up selfie sensor.
Xiaomi is exactly focusing on that in its new series of 3 video promos which are about dissing the notch for the new smartphone. Each video shows how silly a notch would look in other settings.
Here are Xiaomi Mi 9T three video promos:
Interestingly, Xiaomi has unveiled a lot of phones with notches before. Therefore, this stunt is quite disingenuous on the company’s part. Or this Chinese company maybe suddenly explored notches are bad. However, that cannot be it when the Mi Mix series has done its notch-less thing for years now. Therefore, this only makes sense from the marketing viewpoint.
To recall, the Xiaomi Mi 9T comes with a 6.9-inch Full HD+ notch-less display with a pop-up selfie camera and on-screen fingerprint scanner. The phone measures 156.7 x 74.3 x 8.8 mm and weighs 191g. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 730 SoC, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

In term of imaging capabilities, the phone packs triple rear cameras including a 48MP f/1.75 Sony IMX582 sensor, an 8MP f/2.4 sensor, and a 13MP f/2.4 sensor. The pop-up selfie sensor has the resolution of 20MP.
Besides, the Mi 9T runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The phone is backed with a big 4,000mAh battery with the 18W fast charging solution. Other connectivity options comprise of an audio jack, USB-C port, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, Wifi 802.11ac, and 4G LTE.

The Mi 9T is available in two memory variants including 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The Mi 9T variant with 64GB storage costs EUR329 (approximately Rs.25,900) while the 128GB variant is priced at EUR369 (approximately Rs. 29,000).
