Earlier this week, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra duo during its 10th-anniversary event held in China. While the Mi 10 Ultra impresses with a high-end camera cluster and 120W fast charging technology, the Redmi K30 Ultra carries a 120Hz AMOLED screen and a Dimensity 1000+ processor at an extremely affordable price.
Even so, in an article posted on Twitter, Daniel D, senior product marketing manager at Xiaomi, said the company has no plans to release the Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra to the global market. Instead, this high-end smartphone duo will only be sold exclusively for users in the Chinese market.
Last year, Xiaomi did not launch the Mi 9 Pro 5G in other markets outside of China. So it's not too strange that the company has no intention of releasing the Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra globally.
Another reason is that the Mi 10 Ultra is assembled at Xiaomi's new smartphone factory in China - a fully automated production line, designed for the production of flagship models and also the testing site for its high-end products.
Mi 10 Ultra is the first high-end smartphone to be assembled at this factory, so if Xiaomi launches it outside of China, the company will have to export it to other markets and significantly increase the price of the product.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra price: around Rs. 57,000
