Yesterday, Xiaomi officially confirmed that it is going to introduce Xiaomi Mi 10 series in an online-only launch event on 13 February. The lineup will include the vanilla Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. In addition, rumor has it that there won’t be a transparent edition in this year’s lineup. Thanks to multiple leaks and rumors, we have got a decent understanding of what to expect from the duo. Now, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro has passed through the benchmark platform Geekbench four days ahead of its official launch.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is listed on Geekbench with 8GB of RAM, which is likely the base variant. Previously, the device was said to come with a whopping 16GB of RAM. It is powered by an octa-core chipset with the codename ‘cmi’ and 1.80Hz base frequency. Even though the name of the chipset isn’t given in the listing, we are quite sure that it is the top-end Snapdragon 865 SoC, which will also be used on the vanilla Mi 10 5G. Thanks to them, the handset achieved 904 points in the single-core test and 3,290 points in the multi-core test.
Design-wise, a previously leaked poster has revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will come with a curved punch-hole display, which is surrounded by very thin bezels. At the back, there should be a quad-camera cluster, including a 108MP main sensor. The other three sensors were tipped to be 16MP + 5MP + 12MP sensors, according to an alleged screenshot of the Mi 10 Pro's About section. We are certain that it will be pre-installed with Xiaomi's latest MIUI 11, which is based on Android 10.
Other specifications include an under-display fingerprint sensor, 5,250mAh battery, and 65W fast charging standard (30W for the vanilla Mi 10).
Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro price:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,999, equivalent to Rs. 51,000

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro: Review
Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro: Launch News
After many leaks and rumors, today 13/2, Xiaomi officially launched the duo Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, the two latest flagship models of the Mi series. However, due to the effects of the new coronavirus, Xiaomi was unable to hold a big event like every year, instead, it only held an online launch event for the announcement of the two devices.
Like the previous rumors, both Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro models will have some things in common:
- Snapdragon 865 SoC
- 8 / 12GB RAM (LPDDR5)
- 6.67 inch Super AMOLED screen, 90Hz refresh rate, 18.7: 9 ratio, support for DCI-P3 and HDR10 +, Gorilla Glass 6
- Support 5G (dual-mode SA and NSA), WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC
- Under-display fingerprint sensor
The main difference between these two versions will come from the battery capacity and fast charging technology.
Specifically, in terms of design, both Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will have quite similar design styles, including a 6.67 inch AMOLED main screen with a punch-hole on the front. This screen is curved on both sides, has Full HD + resolution and has a 90Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi also allows users to switch between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rate to optimize battery life.
On the back, we will have a glass back is also curved on both sides for easier grip. This back of Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro stands out with the main camera cluster placed vertically at the left corner. At the launch event, Xiaomi's CEO confidently claimed the camera quality of the Mi 10 duo when the Pro version has a DxOMark score of 124 points (including 134 points in photography and 104 points in video), surpassing Huawei Mate 30 Pro with 123 points.
Specific camera specifications of both devices are as follows:
Main camera:
- 108MP f / 1.69: wide-angle lens (25mm), OIS support, Samsung Bright HMX sensor
- 20MP f / 2.2: ultra-wide-angle lens (16mm)
- 12MP f / 2: telephoto lens (50mm)
- 8MP f / 2: long-range telephoto lens (94mm, 10x hybrid zoom)
Camera selfie:
- 20MP f / 2.0
In terms of hardware configuration, in addition to being equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 865 chipset and 8 / 12GB RAM capacity, the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have differences in storage memory. Specifically, the standard Mi 10 will have two storage options of 128 / 256GB, while the Pro version will have two options of 256 / 512GB. Both are UFS 3.0 storage.
The battery capacity of both versions is also different. While the Mi 10 will have a 4,780mAh battery higher, the Mi 10 Pro has a slightly smaller 4,500mAh battery. Despite the higher battery, the standard version only supports 30W (wired) fast charging, 30W (wireless) and 10W (wireless reverse charging), while the Pro version will support 50W wired fast-charging and the same wireless and reverse wireless charging standards.
Both Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will run on Android 10 with MIUI 11 interface. In addition, this year's Mi 10 duo are also equipped with advanced liquid cooling systems to help cool the devices during intense sessions.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 price and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro price are as follows:
Xiaomi Mi 10:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: CNY 3,999, equivalent to Rs. 40,900
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,299, equivalent to Rs. 43,900
