Xiaomi launched the MIUI 11 interface last year. Recently, the Chinese manufacturer has just confirmed that it is developing an upgraded version of its familiar user interface, called MIUI 12 and is expected to launch later this year.

In case you don't know, MIUI was first introduced in 2010 and is one of the most important products associated with Xiaomi's name. Since then, the company has been constantly updating the new version for MIUI and it has been around for more than 444 weeks to date.
According to reports, the upcoming MIUI 12 will be the 10th-anniversary version since the day Xiaomi launched its first user interface. Therefore, the new version is expected to have many upgrades both in design, interface, and features. It will be interesting to see what Xiaomi has prepared to mark this milestone.
Recently, it has been reported that MIUI 12 will support system-wide dark mode to provide a better user experience. This feature is currently available in MIUI 11, but the number of supported apps is still limited and incomplete. The information was revealed by one of Xiaomi's developers, who is currently developing the latest version of MIUI.
In addition, a number of other reports also indicate that right from the release of the stable version of MIUI 11 for most Xiaomi and Redmi phones, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has started to develop new features for MIUI 12. In October last year, Xiaomi's public relations manager, Xu Jieyun, confirmed that the company had started working on the new MIUI 12 operating system. For now, the brand hasn't mentioned which phone will be the first to run on the new interface.
