Xiaomi Exec Found New Way To Revive His Mi 9 After Dropping It In Water

Xiaomi Exec just shared a new way to save your drown smartphones from his own experience.

It is probably a nightmare if your phone without water-resistance proof falls into the water. Recently, Xiaomi boss unexpectedly dropped his Mi 9 in water, resulting in touch screen no longer working, then he found out a new way to save his phone.

Perhaps you should try this way if you accidentally drop your phone into the water.

Normally, when a phone falls into the water, most users will remove its battery (if possible) and put it in the rice jar. With a high hygroscopic capacity, the heat generated by the rice grains helps to dry the wet phones and in most of cases, they will be able to work again as usual.

Recently, Li Weixing, Xiaomi's Internet General Manager, found out a new way to dry the phone after accidentally dropping Mi 9 smartphone into the water. On Weibo, Weixing said that he accidentally dropped his Mi 9 in the water, but continued to use it when working and then found that its touchscreen did not work.

Later, he put the phone under the sunlight and simultaneously played music via the speaker. Amazingly, the vibration of the speaker created an air exchange process between the inside and the outside of the phone. Finally, his Mi 9 could normally work after a long time of "sunbath" before sunset.

If you are using Mi 9 smartphone, perhaps after this incident, you will not want to drop your smartphones into the water because it does not have any IP ratings. However, in case the accident unfortunately happens, you can try to follow the way that Xiaomi boss found out.
