Xiaomi Announced 23.6 Million Redmi 4A, 5A, 6A Units Sold; Redmi 7A India Launch Teased

Xiaomi announces that its Redmi 4A, Redmi 5A, and Redmi 6A reached more than 23.6 million devices sold and also teases the Redmi 7A launch date in India.

Xiaomi has just confirmed that the entry-level Redmi 7A will soon make its way to India. This news comes soon after Anuj Sharma - the companyi's India marketing head suggested that the upcoming Redmi 7A will launch in the Indian market either at the same event as the Redmi K20 series or a fews day around that mark. In the Tweet, the Chinese brand also announces that its Redmi 4A, 5A, and 6A managed to reach more than 23.6 million devices sold until April this year.
To recall, the Redmi 4A was launched in the Indian market as the most affordable phone from Xiaomi at that time. In the same year, the brand announced its successor dubbed Redmi 5A, whereas the Redmi 6A made its first debut in 2018. Thanks to the competitive features and prices, the Redmi A smartphones have been in the top-selling phones in the Indian market. The upcoming Redmi 7A should be launched at the launch event for Redmi K20 series which is slated to be unveiled in mid-July this year.
Redmi 7A: Specifications
The handset was first launched in the company's home market China a couple of weeks ago. It sports a 5.45-inch display with HD+ resolution. Powering the handset is a Snapdragon 439 processor, paired with up to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. For software, it boots Xiaomi's MIUI 10 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. In terms of camera, it features a 13MP camera at the back with an LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. Fueling the entire setup is a large 4,000 mAh battery.
Its price start from CNY 549 (roughly Rs. 5,500) for the base variant with 2GB of RAM / 16GB of storage while the top-end option's price is set at CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,100).
