Vivo Z5 might be the upcoming phone that Vivo will announce at the company’s event on 31 July in China. The brand has already sent out media invites for the event in the country. There hasn’t been much information regarding the Vivo Z5, so we don’t really have a lot to talk about. However, rumor has it that the Vivo smartphone recently passed through China’s TENAA might be the Vivo Z5. It is also said to be one of the Vivo Z5x’s siblings that launched earlier in the year.
According to the listing on TENAA, the upcoming Vivo Z5 will come with a triple camera setup at the back with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP snapper, and 2MP shooter. On the front, there might be a 32MP camera for taking selfies. The front camera is said to be accommodated by a water-drop notch instead of a hole punch like previous rumors. It is also expected to feature an on-screen fingerprint reader for biometric security and be powered by a 2.3 GHz processor, coupled with up to 8GB RAM + 256GB of non-expandable storage. However, the exact identity of the chipset is still unknown. The upcoming Vivo Z5 might also have dimensions of 159.53x75.23x8.13 mm and a weight of 189.6g. Finally, it will likely pack a large 4,500 mAh battery under the hood.
To recall, its sibling Vivo Z5x comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display and is powered by a Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. It also sports triple cameras at the back with a 16MP main camera and a 16MP camera on the front for taking selfies and video calling. Other notable specs include a massive 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging solution and Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS on top.
