Vivo Y51A Debuts In India: Snapdragon 662, Android 11, 48MP Triple Cameras

Vivo Y51A has just debuted in India as a downgraded model of the Vivo Y51 that was released last month. The Vivo Y51A design and specifications are pretty much the same as the Y51. The only difference between them is their chipsets. The highlights of the Y51A include a notched display, a triple camera setup, a Snapdragon 662 chipset, and 18W fast charging support.

The Vivo Y51A price in India is Rs. 17,990 for the sole model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can purchase the phone in Crystal Symphony or Titanium Sapphire color variants via multiple platforms, including Vivo’s e-store, Flipkart, Amazon, Tatacliq, Paytm, and lots of offline retail stores.

Vivo Y51A: Specifications & Features

The device gets a 6.58” FullView display with Full-HD+ resolution, a water-drop notch, and a regular 60Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 662 chipset, aided by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card). In comparison, the Vivo Y51 is powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC, which is considered to be slightly more powerful than the 662. 

The Y51A boots the latest Android 11 out of the box with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 11 running on top. There is a fingerprint reader mounted on the side for biometrics security. Under the hood, Vivo packs a beefy 5,000 mAh battery that supports charging at up to 18W. Connectivity features of the Y51A include dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB-C port.

Moving to the camera department, the Vivo Y51 camera setup at the back includes a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP lens with an f/2.4 aperture for macro shots. They support EIS, portrait mode, super night camera, live photo, slo-mo, panorama, and more. You can take selfies or video call with the 16MP camera housed inside the water-drop notch on the front.
