Just last week, Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 480 chipset as the first low-cost chipset in Qualcomm's Series 400 series with a built-in 5G network modem. With this chipset, smartphone makers can now lower the price of the 5G smartphone even more. And Vivo is the first manufacturer to launch a smartphone using this chipset called Vivo Y31s.

Vivo Y31s: Price & Availability
The Vivo Y31s price will start at CNY 1,498 (around Rs. 17,000) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option. You will have to pay CNY 1,698 (around Rs. 19,200) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. Gray, Red, and Gradient are three color variants of this phone.

As for the Vivo Y31s launch in India, we doubt that Vivo would bring this phone to the country soon since 5G is yet to be a thing in India.
Vivo Y31s: Specifications & Features
The design of Vivo Y31s is relatively familiar with the plastic back and frame. There is a square-shaped dual camera cluster located in the left corner of the back panel. The camera cluster consists of a 13MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth camera, accompanied by an LED flash.

On the front, the handset is equipped with a 6.58-inch IPS LCD screen, supporting Full-HD + resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has the old notch design, featuring a water-drop notch at the top that houses a single 8MP selfie camera.
In terms of performance, the device runs on a Snapdragon 480 5G chip, which offers 5G support with both sub-6GHz and mmWave standards. In addition, Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 480 SoC is two times more powerful than the Snapdragon 460 in both the GPU and CPU performance. As mentioned, the phone comes in two memory configurations, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB. It is fueled by a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and boots Android 11-based FunTouch OS 10.5 out of the box.
Vivo Y31s price: around Rs. 17,000
