Recently, Vivo released two new mid-range smartphones in the Indian market, including Vivo X50 & Vivo X50 Pro. The series also consists of the X50 Pro+, but it didn’t make its way to the country. Vivo, instead, brought the TWS Earphone Neo alongside the two phones, which is priced at Rs. 5,990.
Vivo X50
The Chinese version of the Vivo X50 is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset, but the handset comes to India with a Snapdragon 730 instead. It is because 5G isn’t ready in India, so using the SND765G is unnecessary. The handset comes in two memory configurations - 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
On the front, it rocks a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel, featuring Full-HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. There is also a fingerprint scanner embedded with the screen for biometrics security. In terms of cameras, the handset gets a total of five sensors on both front and back. On the front, it gets a 32MP camera housed inside a punch-hole at the top left corner for picturing selfies and video calling.
Around the back, you can see a quad-camera cluster, that comprises a 48MP main sensor, along with 13MP portrait, 5MP macro, and 8MP ultra-wide-angle units. Under the hood, it gets a 4,200 mAh battery that charges at up to 33W via a USB Type-C port.
The Vivo X50 price in India is Rs. 34,990 for the base option with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can get double storage for Rs. 34,990, which is Rs. 3,000 more than the base option. The device is available in either Blaze Black or Frost Blue colorways.
Vivo X50 Pro
Just like its X50 sibling, the Vivo X50 Pro is also equipped with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display that supports FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz display. However, the display of the X50 Pro has curved edges on the side, unlike the X50 with a flat screen. It is also embedded with a fingerprint reader underneath. As for the chipset, the X50 Pro isn’t downgraded to Snapdragon 730 like the X50. It is still powered by a Snapdragon 765G under the hood and boots Android 10 out of the box. You can only get this phone in a single memory configuration (8GB RAM + 256GB storage).
Similar to the vanilla model, the X50 Pro also has a 32MP selfie camera on the front and a 48MP quad-camera setup at the back. However, the 5MP macro camera is replaced by the premium 8MP periscope telephoto, supporting OIS, 5x optical zoom, and up to 60x hybrid zoom. In addition, the main shooter features a gimbal-style stabilization, allowing much smoother video recording than its rivals. The device is fueled by a 4,315 mAh cell that gets power with 33W fast charging technology via a USB Type-C port.
The Vivo X50 Pro price in India is Rs. 49,990 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model in Alpha Grey colour.
