Vivo X30 Pro Gets Great Benchmark Score With Samsung Exynos 980 SoC

Vivo is expected to launch two Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro phones running the Exynos 980 5G chip on December 16. Previously, there have been many details about design and specifications surfacing online. Today, the phone has appeared on the Chinese benchmark platform AnTuTu with impressive performance scores.
Although the listing on AnTuTu does not reveal specific specifications of Vivo X30 Pro, it still gives us key details about the handset. According to what appears on the list, the phone is powered by a Samsung Exynos 980 chip, coupled with Mali-G77 GPU. Software-wise, it still runs on Android 9.0 Pie. With the Samsung chipset, the handset managed to score 326,029 points.
That is the total score on the CPU, GPU, memory and UX tests of the Vivo X30 Pro. On the CPU & GPU tests, the device scored 116,836 & 88,459 points, respectively. For the memory & UX test, the handset scored 57,598 & 63,136 points, respectively.
According to previously leaked information, the upcoming device will be equipped with a 6.5-inch punch-hole screen with an under-display fingerprint sensor for security. It will pack 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage; and run a new version of FunTouchOS, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
In terms of cameras, Vivo X30 Pro will own a 4-megapixel camera cluster with a 64MP main camera, a 32MP portrait camera, an 8MP super wide-angle camera, and a 13MP periscope camera. The handset is tipped to offer up to 60x digital zoom. In addition, Vivo X30 Pro will have a 4,500 mAh battery, and it is listed on the 3C listing to support 33W quick charging technology. The price of the phone is still unknown, but considering the phone packing an Exynos 980 SoC, the handset might be priced around CNY 3,000 (roughly Rs. 30,100). Vivo X30 Pro: Specifications
The Vivo X30 and X30 Pro have an identical design, with a punch-hole screen with a cutout in the upper right corner with a diameter of 2.98mm. They are covered with glass on both sides.
Both Vivo X30 and X30 Pro are equipped with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen, supporting Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels). They have a fingerprint sensor built below the screen and also supports face unlock for security.
These are the first two Vivo phones to run the Exynos 980 chipset, Samsung's first processor with a 5G modem built-in. The chip has a total of 8 cores, including 2 Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. Both devices have 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal storage options.
The Exynos 980 supports dual 5G network connection (SA and NSA), with download speeds of up to 2.55Gbps. Besides, it also supports 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 5.8GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro duo come with a 4,350 mAh battery, which supports fast charging of 33W Flash Charge via the USB Type-C connector. Both of them have liquid cooling technology and Multi-Turbo 2.5 feature built-in. Software-wise, it runs FunTouchOS 10 interface out of the box, which is based on Android 9 Pie OS.
Cameras of Vivo X30
Talking about the camera, this is the biggest difference between Vivo X30 and X30 Pro. Specifically, the standard version is equipped with a triple-camera system on the back, including a 64MP f / 1.8 main sensor with a focal length of 26.4mm, an 8MP super wide-angle sensor with f / 2.2 aperture, 16mm focal length, and a 112-degree viewing angle; and a 32MP f / 2.0 depth sensor with 50mm focal length.
It has Super Night Scene Mode 2.0, which reduces multi-frame noise and deliver brighter, more detailed night photography. The device supports up to 20x zoom thanks to the algorithm. According to Vivo, it is possible to combine the main sensor and depth sensor to take pictures of the moon with high details.
Cameras of Vivo X30 Pro
As for the X30 Pro, the phone also has a 64MP main camera on the back with the same f / 1.8 aperture and 26.4mm focal length. However, the 8MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera has a viewing angle of up to 122 degrees, while the 32MP f / 2.0 depth sensor has a 50mm focal length. In addition, the device also added a 13MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom located on the right side, above the LED flash.
The periscope lens allows the X30 Pro to zoom up to 60x, three times higher than the standard variant. Of course, it also comes with all the other features available on the Vivo X30 that we mentioned above. Both phones have 32MP selfie cameras with f / 2.45 aperture.
Vivo X30 Pro: Review
Recently, Vivo officially introduced to the market two new phones of the X series line at the event in China. These two new smartphones are called Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro with many similarities. For example, they are both 5G smartphones and carry Samsung’s Exynos 980 SoC.
First, Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro have identical exterior designs. Therefore, this article, I will share with you the photos of the Vivo X30 Pro. As you can see, the phone has a punch-hole display with the cut-out being placed in the top right corner. According to Vivo, the hole has a diameter of 2.98mm, which is the smallest in the market. The back of the device is made of glass and comes in three color options: Pink, Blue, and Black.
On the front, Vivo X30 Pro has a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED panel, supporting Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels). We also have an optical fingerprint sensor intergrated under the screen. According to the manufacturer, this is a new GX sensor with a 61% increase in the scanning area and a super-fast recognition speed of 0.29 seconds. Unfortunately, the standard model is only equipped with the previous generation optical fingerprint sensor.
Vivo X30 and X30 Pro are the first Vivo phones to be equipped with Exynos 980 processor. This is also the first SoC that the Korean company has built a 5G modem, manufactured on the 8nm process. The chipset has a total of 8 cores, including two Cortex-A77 clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8GHz. The phone is available in either 6GB RAM / 128GB storage or 8GB RAM / 256GB storage models.

Vivo X30 Pro is expected to go on sale in China from 24 December for a starting price of CNY 3,998 (around Rs. 40,600) for the 128GB storage model. You can go for the higher option with 256GB of storage for CNY 4,298 CNY (around Rs. 43,600).

Vivo X30 is expected to go on sale from December 28 with a starting price of CNY 3,298 (about Rs. 33,400) for the 128GB version. Meanwhile, the 256GB version of the memory will cost slightly higher, CNY 3,598 (about Rs. 36,500). Both phones are available in three color options, Black, Pink, and Blue.
As for Vivo X30 Pro, the device is expected to go on sale from December 24 and will start at CNY 3,998 (about Rs. 40,500) for the 128GB version. The price that users have to pay to own the 256GB version of internal memory is CNY 4,298 (equivalent to around Rs. 43,600).
