Vivo is slated to launch its Vivo V17 in India on 9 December. The specs and design of the handset have just been leaked online. According to previous leaks and rumors, the phone is tipped to feature a hole-punch display and it was also confirmed via Vivo’s official invite to the launch event. As mentioned, even though the Vivo V17 was already announced in Russia, the version that is coming to India might carry different design and specs.

An official at Vivo just shared a photo and specs of the handset. According to the photo, the upcoming Vivo V17 will have a bezel-less screen with a punch hole at the top right corner of the device. It is also shown to carry a quad-camera cluster at the back, which is housed in a rectangle module. Key specs of the Vivo V17 are revealed to include a 48MP quad-rear camera lens setup, an E3 OLED panel, a Snapdragon 675 chipset, and a 4,500 mAh battery.
Vivo V17: Expected Specifications & Design
As mentioned, the handset is tipped to carry different design & specs to the Russian version. And the new leak also confirmed this news. Instead of a diamond-shape camera module, the phone will have a rectangle one. As for the cameras, it will likely have the same camera specs as the Russian model. They are a 48MP main sensor, two 2MP sensors, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. In addition, the brand goes for a punch-hole on its display instead of a water-drop notch. The cutout will house a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.
It will come in Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice. Under the hood, there should be a Snapdragon 675 chipset, coupled with 8GB RAM / 128GB storage. For security, it is tipped to feature an in-display fingerprint reader. On the front, it will be covered by a 6.44” FHD+ OLED iView display.
