Vivo S1 Tipped To Launch in India On 15 August, Price Starts From Rs. 17,990

According to a Vivo executive, the Vivo S1 will make its way to in India on 15 August and its price will start from Rs. 17,990 for the base variant.

After announcing the Vivo S1 in Indonesia earlier in the week, the Chinese phone maker Vivo is all set to bring the phone to India. The launch date of the phone had been kept under wraps until now. A Vivo executive has just revealed the price as well as memory configurations of the upcoming handset.
The Vivo S1 made its first debut in Indonesia a few days ago as the first phone in the world to feature the new Helio P65 SoC. Other highlights include triple rear cameras and on-screen fingerprint scanner.
Vivo S1: Expected price in India
As per the source, the upcoming Vivo S1 will come in two memory configurations which are 6GB of RAM / 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM / 128GB of storage. While the former is said to be retailed at Rs. 17,990, the latter’s price is still unknown.
However, we expect its price to be around Rs. 20,000 mark. Moreover, we have also learned that the handset will be up for pre-order in earlier next month and will be available for sale from 15 August. You can see from the teaser photo of the phone for the Indian market below that the handset will come in two color variants - Dark Blue and Sky Blue, both of which feature some sort of a pattern.
Vivo S1: Specifications
The Vivo S1 comes with a 6.38-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint reader for security and a water-drop notch for housing a selfie camera. In terms of performance, it packs an Helio P65 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and 64/128GB of storage, which is expandable using a microSD card up to 256GB. Software-wise, it boots Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 9 on top.
In terms of camera, it is equipped with triple rear cameras at the back. It includes a 16MP Sony IMX499 sensor with an f/1.78 lens, an 8MP camera with a 120-degree ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth unit. Upfront, it has a 32MP camera with an f/2.0 lens for handling selfie duties. Finally, it is fueled by a large 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support.
