Vivo S1 Confirmed To Launch in India On 7 August

Vivo S1 is now confirmed to come to India on 7 August. The news is confirmed on the ‘Block Your Calendar’ invite the company sent to the media. The handset already made its debut in Indonesia earlier in the month, and its launch in the Indian market has also been teased recently. The phone sports a Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a triple camera system at the back. Other key highlights of the smartphone include Helio P65 octa-core processor and a beefy 4,500 mAh battery.

The mentioned invite does not give us any details regarding the Vivo S1’s availability and price. However, the invite does confirm that the brand will announce the latest smartphone in the S series on 7 August.
Vivo S1: Expected price
The Vivo S1’s price in the country hasn’t been revealed yet. However, it’s expected to be priced at the same level as it is in Indonesia. To recall, it is retailed at 3,599,000 IDR (around Rs. 17,900) in Indonesia for the sole variant with 4GB of RAM / 128GB of storage. The brand offers two colour options for this phone - Skyline Blue and Cosmic Green.

Notably, the handset was first launched in China way back in March alongside the Vivo S1 Pro. However, the new Vivo S1 carries some differences compared to the Chinese version.
Vivo S1: Specifications & Features
The handset sports a 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with 2,340 x 1,080p resolution and a water-drop notch. Under the hood, it is driven by an Helio P65 octa-core processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Software-wise, it ships with Android 9 Pie with Vivo’s FunTouchOS 9 on top.

In the camera department, it is packed with a triple camera setup, including a 16MP main camera with f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP tertiary camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it comes with a 32MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats. Finally, it is fueled by a 4,500 mAh battery under the hood.
