The Vivo NEX 3S 5G has officially been confirmed to launch on 10th March in China. The handset will arrive as the successor to the Vivo NEX 3 that launched in September last year. For now, we have multiple details about the handset and it is said to be the commercial version of the newly-announced Vivo APEX 2020. Key specs of the phone include a 6.89-inch ultra-curved AMOLED panel with a screen-to-body ratio of 99.6 and Snapdragon 865 SoC. In addition, the official teaser photo also hints that the handset will be available in Orange color variant, which is in line with its photo on TENAA.

The Vivo NEX 3S 5G will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset, aided by an Adreno 650 GPU. It will also have a Snapdragon X50 5G modem that supports dual-mode 5G connectivity. Its battery is tipped to have 4,250 mAh capacity and support 55W fast charging technology. According to its TENAA listing, the device could measure 167.44x76.14x9.4 mm and weighs 219.5g. It will likely be available in two variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. In terms of software, it is certain that the phone will be pre-loaded with Android 10 along with Vivo’s FunTouchOS 10 on top. For biometric security, it is safe to assume that it will have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

On the imaging front, the device will come with triple camera setup at the back that includes a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor, a 13MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120° viewing angle. The whole camera setup will be placed in a circular module, according to the Vivo NEX 3S’ TENAA photo. Upfront, there will be a 16MP camera for taking selfies and video calling. Connectivity-wise, it might support 5G network, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C port, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
