Vivo NEX 3 5G New Variant With Snapdragon 865 & 8GB RAM Emerges

Vivo NEX 3 5G will be available in a new variant with the powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and Android 10 out of the box.

Vivo NEX 3 5G was announced back in September last year with a Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. Despite packing it with a powerful chipset, Vivo seems to be working on an even more powerful model of the Vivo NEX 3 5G with the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 SoC. The version has already passed through multiple certification websites such as TENAA and Wi-Fi Alliance along with some of its specs. And now it visits benchmark Geekbench with the model number Vivo V1950A.

According to the Geekbench listing, the more powerful Vivo NEX 3 5G version will use a Snapdragon 865 SoC at the helm. The processor is listed with the codename ‘kona’, which belongs to the Snapdragon 865 chipset. Moreover, the benchmark scores also verify that it is indeed Qualcomm’s most powerful processor. Paired with 8GB of RAM, it helps the NEX 3 5G (Vivo V1950A) get 921 points in the single-core test and 3,369 points in the multi-core test. In addition, it is also pre-installed with the Android 10, likely with FunTouchOS on top.

In other leaks, this version of the Vivo NEX 3 5G is said to sport a massive 6.89-inch AMOLED panel, supporting FHD+ resolution. Thanks to the pop-up selfie camera design, the display will have a full-screen design without any notch or punch-hole. It will likely be available in multiple variants with up to 12GB of RAM, just like the previous model.

The listing on TENAA also included photos of the device, showing a nearly identical circular camera module as the old model. Therefore, the upcoming Snapdragon 865-powered NEX 3 5G could also feature a triple camera cluster, which will reportedly include a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens with 20x zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. The listing further reveals that the device will pack a 4,250 mAh battery with fast charging support.
