Smartphone makers have been paying a lot more attention to the gaming smartphone segment which is growing at a decent rate. Vivo is no exception as it is trying to grab a piece of the segment with the IQOO Youth Edition which is expected to come out soon. Two new posters that are uploaded on Weibo confirm the specifications of the upcoming phone. It is said to come with a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 128GB storage, and a large 4,000mAh battery. It will soon be announced at a price of RMB 1,998 (around Rs. 20,000).

Before that, a Vivo handset with model number Vivo V1914A which is said to be the codename of the upcoming IQOO Youth Edition. The specifications listed on the Geekbench listing were also in line with those suggested by the new poster. The listing further confirmed that it will pack 6GB of RAM, Snapdragon 845 SoC, and ship with Android 9.0 Pie.

However, another poster shows the same IQOO Youth Edition phone but instead of the Snapdragon 845 SoC, it is shown to come with a mid-range Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor. It is also listed with a more affordable price of RMB 1,798 (around Rs. 18,000). That means the IQOO Youth Edition might be launched in two different versions. However, there is a small possibility that one of the posters above is fake. At this point, we can’t really confirm either of them so it is better to wait for Vivo to confirm on the matter.

To recall, the more premium Vivo IQOO is expected to make its debut in India sometime in June. It is a flagship gaming-centric smartphone with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. In terms of camera, it comes with a triple camera setup, including 13MP + 12MP + 2MP sensors. On the front, there is a 12MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling. It is equipped with a large 4,000 mAh battery and up to 44W fast charging solution.
