Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO India is planning to make its debut in India this month as an independent brand. There were several official-looking iQOO pages on Facebook and Twitter, but they were later pointed out to be fake. That was confirmed by Director of iQOO Gagan Arora in his recent Tweet. In the same tweet, he also confirms that the brand is very close to launching its first smartphone with the Snapdragon 865 SoC and 5G connectivity in the country. Even though Arora didn’t give the exact identity of the smartphone, it is speculated to be called iQOO 3. However, iQOO India recently trademarked three names - iQOO Neo, iQOO Lite, and iQOO Pro. Therefore, it is better to take this with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation.
Vivo iQOO 3: Rumored Specifications & Features
Vivo iQOO 3 is speculated to be the brand’s upcoming Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone with 5G connectivity. The handset is also said to feature a punch-hole screen and an under-display fingerprint reader. It is expected to take on the POCO F2, which is also rumored to be Xiaomi’s first Snapdragon 865-driven smartphone in India.
Other than that, it could sport a 6.44-inch display that supports Full-HD+ resolution and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz. As mentioned, it should get power from Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 865 chipset and support the 5G network. For optics, it might carry a quad-camera lens cluster that consists of a 48MP main sensor. Under the hood, it might pack a 4,410 mAh battery that supports up to 55W rapid charging standard.
Even though we don’t know when the phone will be released, iQOO Director’s Tweet said that it is coming soon, so we expect to see its launch within this month.
